Completed this November! A Certificate IV in Mental Health
How can Lucy's Certificate IV in Mental Health benefit you.

I’m excited to share some fantastic news—I’ve recently completed my Certificate IV in Mental Health! This important achievement has deepened my passion and expertise in supporting individuals affected by poor mental health within their homes. 🎉
Completing my Certificate IV in Mental Health is not just a personal milestone; it enhances the support I can offer you. Here’s how this qualification empowers me to serve you better:
Empathy driven support
My studies and practical training have deepened my understanding of individuals' challenges and the tools they need to thrive on their journey to recovery. Whether you are dealing with mental health struggles, managing neurodiversity, or navigating significant life transitions, I’m here to support you with compassion and understanding.
Tailored Strategies for Well-being
Through my training, I have gained the skills to help you create an environment that actively promotes your mental health and well-being. Together, we can transform your home into a safe, nurturing space that empowers you to live your best life.
Skills developed
In my Certificate IV in Mental Health, I learned how to build supportive recovery-focused relationships and assess social-emotional and physical well-being. I now have a much greater understanding of the care network in Canberra and what support options are available to you. I also learnt about the impact substance use disorders have on mental health. Another essential subject area for many Canberrans is that I also learnt about the impact of trauma on people in the community, how it is so pervasive, and how then I can provide trauma-informed care in my service to you; I also developed the skills to work with a diverse range of people, and how to operate and communicate effectively to build solid relationships for those people impacted by poor mental health.
Direct placement experience.
During my Certificate IV education, I had the privilege of completing my placement with the dedicated team at Woden Community Service, specifically with their fantastic Hoarding Advocacy Support (HASS) team. This hands-on experience was incredibly inspiring and taught me the importance of holistic, person-centred care and how to support participants in improving their homes when they struggle with complex issues such as hoarding. Not only that, but the importance of reducing the stigma and shame around hoarding behaviours and highlighting the intrinsic importance and value of every single person in our community, no matter what their home looks like, they deserve our support.
I want to thank Woden Community Service and their HASS team. Their dedication to positively impacting the community is truly inspiring. Working alongside them has strengthened my commitment to helping people navigate challenges and create brighter futures. If you ever need help with Hoarding, Housing, Aged Care or Childcare, I highly recommend Woden Community Service—they do incredible work in our community.
Empowerment
During my placement and completing my Certificate IV in Mental Health, I also learned the power and importance of supporting and skilling clients to advocate for their needs. My goal is to equip you with the skills to improve your life so that when I leave your home, you feel empowered to maintain your space and advocate for the support you need to live your best life.
Whether you’re looking to create an organised, functional space that supports your mental health or seeking guidance to navigate life’s challenges, I’m here to help. My training and experience enable me to provide thoughtful, practical support tailored to your unique needs. 💬
My team
While training for my Certificate IV, I wanted to ensure that I also passed that knowledge on to my team at Serenity Organising. Did you know that there are now seven of us working in Canberra to make your home a place of Serenity? Some of our team members have mental health first aid qualifications, some are trained disability support workers, and some are aged care workers. Some have lived experience of mental health challenges or have supported a family member with mental health challenges.
I also regularly debrief my team members on how to better support our clients who are experiencing mental health difficulties and share tips and ideas. We also know about referral options for alternative services. So, even if I am not working with you in your home, I am continuously supporting my staff to better support you.
Contact me today to learn how to work together to help you create a space, home, space and life that aligns with your goals and gives you a sense of Serenity and Peace.
Blessings…
